  For Outlook Express Users:

Launch Outlook Express.  Click the Message menu and choose Create Rule From Message...  A dialog box will open titled, "New Mail Rule".



Under "1. Select the Conditions for your rule:", uncheck the box next to Where the From line contains people.  Check the box next to Where the Subject line contains specific words.



Under "2. Select the Actions for your rule:", check the box next to Move it to the specified folder.



Under "3. Rule Description (click on an underlined value to edit it):", click contains specific words.



A dialog box will open titled "Type Specific Words".  Type *SPAM* in the space provided, then click Add (using no spaces, type one asterik, the word SPAM in caps, and one asterik.)  *SPAM* should appear in the space under "Words:".



Click on *SPAM* to highlight it, then click OK.



Under "3. Rule Description (click on an underlined value to edit it):", click specified.



A dialog box will open titled "Move".  Click Local Folders to highlight then click New Folder.  



Type a name for your spam folder, such as SPAM, then click OK.



The name of your new folder should appear under Local Folders.  Click OK in the "Move" window.  This will return you to "New Mail Rule".




Under "4. Name of the rule:"  enter a name for this new rule, such as SPAM Filter.  Click OK, and you are finished creating your new SPAM filter.



A message will pop up that says, "The rule was successfully added."  Click OK.  



You're done.  All incoming mail that has been tagged as SPAM by Mindstate's SPAM filter will be directed to the spam folder that you created above (SPAM under Local Folder).
